About this work
A small gouache study of three peepal leaves on handmade paper, their long drip-tips drawn with a fine brush and the veins left as the paper itself. The greens shift from yellow to blue across the sheet.
Supplied unframed; a study rather than a finished picture, and priced as one.
Inspiration
The peepal is the tree under which the Buddha sat and the tree that grows out of every old wall in Delhi. The study is about looking at a leaf for an hour.
